New content added to the 60's section of the "Winnipeg's Skateboarding Hisotry" Article
Winnipeg's first Skateboaring company was registered in 1964
In 1964 Winnipeggers Bernie Sexton & Steven Ivanhoe started "Skateboard of Canada" in Bernie's garage.
They imported wheels and trucks from the US and got the decks milled in Winnipeg. The decks were then silkscreened and assembled by neighbourhood kids in Bernie's North Kildonan garage.
The boards ranged from 18 inches to 34 inches long by 5 to 6 inches wide. There were two types of wheels used. The cheaper models had metal wheels and the more expensive onces had fibre (clay) wheels.

The boards were sold at local stores in Winnipeg like Eaton's, The Bay and Eastern Sales. Skateboard of Canada also held skateboarding demonstrations at the downtown Eaton's store.
